educating cyclists... because as we all know, knowledge is power! jett grrl
was started last august, by tracy myerson, and caters to the
needs of the queer cycling community - and their friends! tracy is a
certified mechanic, and she teaches a series of hands-on bike repair workshops for
anyone wanting to learn how to do-it themselves. it doesn't matter if you
are a commuter, road racer, or mountain biker...jett grrl offers classes for
all types of riders and all levels of mechanical ability. and we are
committed to providing a relaxed, friendly, non-intimidating environment,
where people feel free to share ideas and experience, and foster a true
sense of community.

but in case you really do not have time to "do-it-yourself", jett grrl is
also a full service repair shop, offering you honest, fair, quality
workmanship unmatched anywhere. jett grrl was created partly as a reaction
against the consumer driven society in which we live. when you come into the
shop, we will put your bike in the stand and go thru it with you, explaining
what work needs to be done, and why. if we can save you money and keep
things out of landfill, everyone wins!

and if you are looking for a quality used bike, look no further. jett grrl
is extremely committed to preserving our environment and fostering a
sustainable way of life. in keeping with the reduce/re-use/recycle
mentality, jett grrl restores and refurbishes any bike she can get her hands
on! and if you happen to have a bike that's been collecting dust in your
garage or basement, and you partner has been begging you to "get rid of that
junk", jett grrl gladly accepts donations. all bikes are going back to that
same community you are helping to create here :o)
